[Singapore Travel Tip] – Use MRT from Changi Airport to town
03 May 2013

For the budget conscious traveller, we recommend taking an MRT from Changi Airport Terminal 2 to town (City Hall MRT Station). It is very easy and cheap. The trip will cost you no more than $3. We recommend purchasing a $20 card easylink for your trip in Singapore as you will be able to use these cards for both train and bus.

If you have large pieces of luggage, take note of some of these MRT rules.

Because of this we do not recommend taking the MRT if you have large luggage. In this case, take a cab from the airport, which will cost you about $40 if you are taking it to town area.

Trains operate until about midnight everyday, 7 days a week. The first train service usually starts around 6am in the morning.
